New evidence casts doubt on Harriet Harman’s defence over paedophile links
‘Harriet Harman has insisted she has nothing to apologise for over the involvement of a civil rights organisation she used to work for with a paedophile rights campaign, despite new evidence casting doubt on her defence.
The Labour Party deputy leader said she had never “colluded” with anyone from the Paedophile Information Exchange while she was working as legal officer of the National Council for Civil Liberties in the late 1970s.
In a series of interviews, Miss Harman insisted she was not going to say sorry after the links between PIE and the NCCL – in which she and her husband and fellow MP Jack Dromey played a prominent role – emerged.’
