Vaccine research – pertussis

“2000 through 2014, there were 277 deaths from whooping cough reported in the United States. Almost all of the deaths (241 of the 277) were babies younger than 3 months of age, who are too young to be protected against whooping cough by getting the shots”  CDC website: http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd-vac/pertussis/fs-parents.html

Running the Vaers search– found that between 2000-2014 1227 died and of these 1105 were under the age of 1.  This was only for pertussis related vaccines (sometimes have other things included, like tetnus, diphtheria, DTAP, etc)

http://www.medalerts.org/vaersdb/index.php (add date range, DTAP vaccines, toggle no age and under 1 year)

Using vaccine court details….

So using the death claims between 1988 and 2015 – for pertussis there are 836 claims over 27 years

So about 31 deaths per year. Of course they don’t sow which of these claims was successful ne

More info – per year and Vaccine court stats:

Using vaccine court details….

  • So using the death claims between 1988 and 2015 – for pertussis there are 836 claims over 27 years. So about 31 deaths per year.  Of course they don’t say which of these claims was successful or not (http://www.hrsa.gov/vaccinecompensation/vicpmonthlyseptember15.pdf)
  • From whooping cough deaths (CDC above) – 277 deaths over 15 years => 18.4 per year
  • Vaers data: 1227 deaths over 15 years by pertussis vac. => 81 per year

So really the vaccine kills more than the disease!!!!?

More on VAERS:

The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)

The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) database contains information on unverified reports of adverse events (illnesses, health problems and/or symptoms) following immunization with US-licensed vaccines. Reports are accepted from anyone and can be submitted electronically at www.vaers.hhs.gov.

Search Current VAERS Data

The information in this database contains reports received from 1990 to the present. Data can be searched by the following: age, event category, gender, manufacturers, onset interval, recovery status, serious/non-serious category, state/territory, symptoms, vaccine, VAERS ID #, year reported, month reported, year vaccinated and month vaccinated. Click the VAERS Data Search button below to begin your data search.

Data Limitations and Cautions

A major limitation of VAERS data is that VAERS cannot determine if the adverse health event reported was caused by the vaccination. Information on additional limitations of the VAERS data is available at http://vaers.hhs.gov/data/index.
